A reflector, which may be used as a secondary reflector in solar thermal power plants, has a composite structure comprising an aluminium body, a high reflection mirror surface with high temperature stability, a heat emitting transparent top coat and a high emittance reverse side coat to dissipate heat and reduce the maximum temperature reached by the reflector during operation.
