[Class 83 (iv)] In a machine for the angular bending of corrugated &c. sheets, means is provided for applying a progressive stretch to the sheet during bending. A corrugated sheet a is clamped by a member 45 to a former 23 and its ends are secured by clamps 34 slidable in arms 28. On descent of a head 44 fingers 42 contact rolls 40 and swing the arms 28 about fixed pivots 55 to effect the angular bending. Fixed cams 27 contact with blocks 38 secured to the clamps 34 to move them apart during the bending to apply a stretching force to the sheet. |
