PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing a marker which indicates when the expiration date has passed is provided to easily confirm the passage through a color change. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition contains 0.01-5 wt% of maltol and 0.01-20 wt% of metal ion donor containing central metal ions as a marker which indicates when the expiration date has passed. The central metal ion is iron ions, calcium ions, magnesium ions, copper ions, zinc ions, manganese ions, cobalt ions, or aluminum ions. The metal ion donor is casein, lactoferrin, transferring, beta-lactoglobulin, milk fat globule membrane, oxidase, catalase, peroxidase, or vitamin B12 which contains central metal ions. The cosmetic composition is manufactured in the form of a lotion, essence, cream, spray, or gel. |
