PURPOSE: A left/right independent type air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle is provided to easily install and rearrange components by using spaces on the sides of an air conditioner case because a PTC heater is inserted from the bottom of the air conditioner case. CONSTITUTION: A left/right independent type air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle comprises an air conditioner case(10), an evaporator(2), a heater core(3), a partition wall, temperature control doors(20), mode doors, and a PTC heater(H). The evaporator and the heater core are installed inside the air conditioner case. The partition wall divides an air passage formed from the evaporator to vents(12a-12c) into left and right air passages. The temperature control doors are respectively installed in the left and right air passages and allowed to control the opening degree thereof. The mode doors are installed in the vents to control the opening degrees of the vents according to air conditioning modes. The PTC heater is installed at the downstream of the heater core while maintaining a predetermined gap from the heater core. |
