A sheet metal part for the attachment of a handle 12 to a motor vehicle roof. The part comprises at least one mounting area H facing the vehicle roof in an installed state for mounting the sheet metal part to the vehicle roof and at least one mounting area H facing the handle for mounting the handle 12 to the sheet metal part. The sheet metal part is made of an aluminium alloy coined in at least one section 18. The mounting area facing the handle may comprise a mounting opening 16 which is preferably at least partially framed by the at least one coined section 18. The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing such a sheet metal part 10. |
