PURPOSE: An exhaust gas post treatment device and method are provided to be inserted into a large diesel engine instead of an exhaust manifold without increasing the whole height or width of the engine. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas post treatment device(10) comprises discharge manifolds and catalyst converter containers. The discharge manifolds(7) and catalyst converter containers(8) are placed side by side. The discharge manifolds and catalyst converter containers are horizontally extended, and the boundary is fixed by one or more barriers(9). The discharge manifolds are connected to the catalyst converter containers through one or more ports to guide exhaust gas to each discharge port. |
