<p>The method involves forming a radial encircling blind weld seam portion (6c) at an outer surface of a valve spool (51) of a fuel injector (50) by a laser beam device. The welding depth of the blind weld seam portion over a wall thickness portion of the valve spool is set to predetermined range. The outer diameters of the valve spool and an annular bearing ring (55) in a press connection region are set to specific ranges. The valve spool is made of metal.
