PURPOSE: An AC(alternative current) operating LED(light emitting diode) apparatus and operating current control method thereof are provided to output current which is close to a sine wave by controlling a plurality of input current as each constant current or constant voltage. CONSTITUTION: One side of a first LED array(120) is connected to an output side of an AC power source. One side of a second LED array(130) is connected to an input side of the AC power source. An input side of a rectifying unit(140) connects to other side of a second LED array and a first LED array, one side of the second LED array, and an input side of the AC power source. An input side of an operating control unit(150) connects to an output side of the rectifying unit. An output side of the operating control unit connects to an input side of the rectifying unit.
