PURPOSE: A backlight and display device is provided to widen an effective light emitting area. CONSTITUTION: A pair of first light sources(62) is located in a cross section of an alignment direction. A second light source(64) is located between the first light sources. A direction of the first light sources crosses a direction of the second light source. The first light sources include a first light emitting unit(66). The first light emitting unit is arranged along surroundings and emits three or more colors of different light. The second light source includes a second light emitting unit(68). The second light emitting unit is arranged along surroundings and emits three or more colors of different light. |
