PURPOSE: A remote image monitoring system and operation method thereof are provided to transmit image signal and the collected audio signal to an opponent by enabling a relay unit to use a communication network including the Internet. CONSTITUTION: A mobile camera unit(1100) transmits a video signal and an audio signal in real time using 2.4 GHz band wireless frequency. When the mobile camera unit locates within a proximity photographing permission range or gets out of a moving range, the mobile camera unit generates warning signals. A relay unit(1200) receives signals in real time by connecting to the 2.4 GHz band wireless frequency. A remote monitor unit(1400) receives the signals through the set communication path.
