PURPOSE: A composition containing Pleurotus eryngii var. ferulae extract or a fraction thereof is provided to prevent or relieve skin aging. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for preventing and treating skin aging contains Pleurotus eryngii var. ferulae extract as an active ingredient, which is isolated using water, alcohol of C1-C4, or a mixture thereof. A cosmetic composition for preventing and treating skin aging contains the fraction as an active ingredient. The fraction is an n-hexane fraction or ethyl acetate fraction. A health food composition for preventing and treating skin aging contains the extract as an active ingredient.
