PURPOSE: A signal processing apparatus for an electronic warfare equipment and signal processing method is provided to shorten goal signal detection and its analysis time; and improve capacity of desired signal analysis in a multiple signal environment. CONSTITUTION: A signal processing unit(100) for electronic warfare equipment is comprised of a signal detecting part(110) and a signal analyzing part(120). When the signal detection part knows information of desired signal part, it detects the desired signal from the desired signal part by using a band pass filter or a band eliminating filter. When the signal detection part does not know information of desired signal part, it detects the desired signal from the desired signal part by using the band eliminating filter. The signal analyzing part groups the desired signal and estimates a pulse repetition interval of the desired signal. The signal analysis part extracts a target pulse series from the desired signal; and when the part knows information of desired signal part, it extracts the target pulse series by classifying the pulse repetition cycle into a fixed or pattern type.
