PURPOSE: A light emitting device and a light emitting device package are provided to improve a light quantity by arranging a distributed Bragg reflector layer on a lateral side of a light emitting structure. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting structure(140) is arranged on an electrode layer(105). An electrode(150) is arranged on the light emitting structure. The light emitting structure comprises a first conductivity type semiconductor layer, an active layer, and a second conductivity type semiconductor layer. A distributed Bragg reflector layer(160) comprises a first layer and a second layer which is arranged on the first layer. The first layer is arranged on a lateral side of the light emitting structure. |
