<p>PURPOSE: An application managing method of a portable terminal is provided to conveniently and effectively manage an application without complex key input. CONSTITUTION: When management for applications installed in a portable terminal is requested, a selection window of each icon in an application is displayed(S302). The icon corresponding to the application is selected(S303). The application corresponding to the icon is managed(S304). When the icon is selected, icon selection is displayed to a user through the selection window corresponding to the selected icon.
