PURPOSE: A method for identifying and finding users on a mobile network is provided to create rapid responses by updating location information by transmitting location finding requests to devices. CONSTITUTION: A server receives a request for locations of requested devices from a requesting device(310a). When the request for locations requests approximate responses, the server transmits a shallow location finding request to the requested devices(315a,320a). The server receives responses(340a). The server updates location information(350a). The server provides the location information to the requesting device(360a).
