PURPOSE: A photonic crystal optical modulator and a 3D image obtaining device including the same is provided to implement the high speed modulation of incident light by using a photonic crystal structure having an EA(Electro-Absorption) effect or an EO(Electro-Optic) effect. CONSTITUTION: A photonic crystal optical modulator(100) includes a substrate(110), a first electrode(120), an active layer(130), a second electrode(140), and a photonic crystal layer(160). The first electrode is formed on the substrate. The active layer is formed on the first electrode. The active layer is formed by using materials having an optical characteristic changed according to the supply of an electric field. The second electrode is formed on the active layer. The photonic crystal layer is formed on the second electrode in a 2D grid shape. |
