PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery is provided to have improved energy density performance while maintaining power level requirements for electric vehicles, and the like. CONSTITUTION: A lithium secondary battery of high energy density comprises: a positive electrode which comprises a first positive electrode active material of a layered structure indicated in chemical formula 1, Li_x(Ni_vMn_wCo_yM_z)O_(2-t)A_t, and a second positive electrode active material of a spinel structure indicated in chemical formula 2, Li_aMn_(2-b)M'_bO_(4-c)A'_c; a negative electrode which comprises crystalline graphite and amorphous carbon as negative electrode active materials; and a separator. The content of the first positive electrode active material is 40-100 weight% based on the total weight of the positive electrode active materials. The content of the crystalline graphite is 40-100 weight% based on the total weight of the negative electrode active materials. |
