Disclosed is a child or baby or infant restraint providing improved protection from sudden impacts or crashes. The car-seat restraint comprises a juvenile vehicle seat and impact pads located in the head wings to dissipate energy. The pads comprise two airbags with a predetermined volume or air or gas, each air bag has a port and valve, and a deformable foam support frame. When exposed to an external impact force, the support frame deforms and the airbags discharge air at a controlled rate through the valve into the surroundings to absorb external energy applied and minimize g-loads experienced by a child seated in the juvenile vehicle seat.
