<p>The invention relates to synthesis gas production. The inventive method for producing synthesis gas is carried out by means of a plant comprising a multi-cylinder four-stroke or double-piston two-stroke compression-type internal combustion engine. Said method consists in preparing a mixture comprising hydrocarbon material, water steam and air or oxygen-enriched air in the form of a combustible charge with an air-oxidiser excess factor equal to 03, 0.58 for methane, subsequently preheating the combustible charge, afterwards, supplying said charge to the engine cylinders, additionally heating the combustible charge during a compression stroke, initiating the volume ignition of the combustible charge in a top dead center area by means of the auto-ignition of additives added to the combustible charge in the form of liquid or gaseous substances whose ignition point is lower than the ignition point of the combustible charge, expanding and cooling products formed during the piston return stroke towards the lower dead center, removing synthesis gas-containing products, subsequently cooling said products, removing a black therefrom, finally cooling and in converting the products into methanol or dimethyl ether.</p> |
