<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of obtaining a compound having a fluorinated cyclohexyl group in high yield from a raw material having a phenyl group. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a compound represented by formula (2) includes reacting a compound represented by formula (1) with fluorine in a liquid phase. In the formula, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>-R<SP POS="POST">5</SP>are a group selected from a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a monovalent hydrocarbon group, a monovalent hydrocarbon group having a hetero atom, a halogenated monovalent hydrocarbon group and a halogenated monovalent hydrocarbon group having a hetero atom, Q is -C(O)O- or -OC(O)-, k is an integer of not smaller than 0, m is an integer of not smaller than 1, R<SP POS="POST">6</SP>is an m-valent fluorinated group essentially having a C-F bond and is connected with Q via a carbon atom, R<SP POS="POST">6F</SP>is an m-valent group in which R<SP POS="POST">6</SP>is fluorinated and R<SP POS="POST">1F</SP>-R<SP POS="POST">5F</SP>are groups corresponding to R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>-R<SP POS="POST">5</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
