<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that can obtain better image quality. <P>SOLUTION: A display device includes a display section including a plurality of display pixels, and a barrier section including a plurality of sub-regions that transmit and block light. The barrier section includes a pair of substrates, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the substrates, and a plurality of spacers interposed between the substrates.
