REACTOR CORE ISOLATION COOLING SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor core isolation cooling system that can cool a nuclear reactor for a long term using steam due to decay heat of the nuclear reactor.

SOLUTION: A reactor core isolation cooling system drives reactor core isolation cooling pump 12 by driving an isolation cooling turbine 13 as a steam turbine by steam generated due to decay heat of a nuclear reactor upon reactor core isolation. A vacuum pump 14 and a condensate pump 15 of the reactor core isolation cooling system are respectively driven by a second steam turbine 15 and a third steam turbine 17 driven by steam generated due to the decay heat of the nuclear reactor.
