The present invention relates to a solar cell and a method of manufacturing same. The solar cell includes a board, a backside electrode layer disposed on the board, a light absorption layer, a transparent electrode layer, and a barrier layer disposed between the board and the backside electrode layer, wherein the barrier layer contains Group II elements. Thus, since the barrier layer for preventing a metal from being diffused is disposed on the board, it may prevent efficiency of the solar cell from being reduced by the metal components contained in the board. |
