摘要 The method involves determining correspondences between image positions of a unite X-ray-dense body on a projection image and another projection image. A projection matrix for the latter projection image is estimated by the correspondences between the image positions and three-dimensional (3D) positions of the body. Previously determined 3D positions of the body and previously estimated projection matrix are optimized (40) based on the determined positions of the image on the projection images. The determining process and the optimizing process are repeated until the images are evaluated. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a digital memory medium comprising a set of instructions to execute a method for calibrating an X-ray system (2) a device for calibrating an X-ray system with a movable image pick-up system.
