This nucleic acid construct includes a 5' untranslated region and a coding region. The coding region includes a sequence coding a polypeptide to be displayed, a sequence coding a first nucleic acid-binding polypeptide, and a sequence coding a second nucleic acid-binding polypeptide. The 5' untranslated region includes a first sequence capable of binding to the first nucleic acid-binding polypeptide, and a second sequence capable of binding to the second nucleic acid-binding polypeptide. When introduced to a translation system, the fusion protein translated from the coding region of the nucleic acid construct forms a complex with the RNA corresponding to the nucleic acid construct through the bonding of the first nucleic acid-binding polypeptide and the first sequence, and the bonding of the second nucleic acid-binding polypeptide and the second sequence. The nucleic acid construct is used to link a polypeptide and the sequence coding the polypeptide, and screen for polypeptides that bind a target substance.
