<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of extending the life of consumables as much as possible by controlling a toner supply process. <P>SOLUTION: A transfer time measurement unit 79 measures a continuous transfer time of toner transfer performed from a toner cartridge 10 to a process cartridge 20. A setting information storage unit 77 records predetermined information including a first threshold value for a speed of the toner transfer. A control unit 71 calculates a toner inflow speed to the process cartridge 20 in the continuous transfer time on the basis of the continuous transfer time of toner transfer measured by the transfer time measurement unit 79 and a detection signal from a first sensor 72. The control unit 71 also performs control of stopping the toner transfer when the toner inflow speed is lower than the first threshold value read from the setting information storage unit 77. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
