<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a technique for bonding a reinforcing film to an electrolyte membrane having a catalyst electrode layer. <P>SOLUTION: A method for joining an electrolyte membrane having a catalyst electrode layer and a first film for reinforcing the electrolyte membrane comprises: a preparation step of preparing a laminate film in which the first film and a second film are laminated and the electrolyte membrane having the catalyst electrode layer; a cutting step of providing a cut in a boundary between an inner region set in the first film of the laminate film and an outer region formed in an outer periphery of the inner region; a compression step of thermally compressing the laminate film and the electrolyte membrane when the inner region for which the cut is provided in the boundary with the outer region is in contact with the catalyst electrode layer; and a peeling step of peeling the inner region of the first film from the thermally compressed laminate film and a laminate of the electrolyte membrane together with the second film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
