<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new retrieval method and the like suitable for avoiding a semantic drift. <P>SOLUTION: In a retrieval device 1, a retrieval target data group stored in retrieval target data storage means is retrieved by using one or more retrieval words. A retrieval part 15 retrieves a retrieval target data group by using retrieval word(s). An extraction means 23 extracts multiple related words from the retrieval result. A selection part 27 selects related words as retrieval significant words from among the related words, restricting the number. A retrieval part 15 retrieves the retrieval target data group again by using the retrieval significant words.
