<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor shaft which sufficiently secures coupling strength of an inner shaft and an outer shaft and can obtain superior running resistant torque property and whose weight can be saved. <P>SOLUTION: The rotor shaft 3 is divided into the inner shaft 4 and the outer shaft 5. The inner shaft 4 includes: a thick section 42; a tip section 41 which projects from the thick section 42 to one end side in an axial direction and whose thickness in a radial direction is smaller than the thick section 42; and a rear end section 43 which projects from the thick section 42 to the other end side in the axial direction and whose thickness in the radial direction is smaller than the thick section 42. The outer shaft 5 includes an inner cylindrical section 51; a magnetic body fitting outer cylindrical section 53 and a flange section 52. The inner shaft 4 and the outer shaft 5 are coupled and fixed by bringing an outer peripheral face 422 of the thick section 42 into contact with an inner peripheral face 501 of an insertion hole 50 of the inner cylindrical section 51.
