摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that improves precision of a superimposing position of each color development image, even when using a light source element on which a plurality of light sources are mounted. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus, a patch image for detecting a positional deviation amount of a development image of each color plate is formed on a transfer belt for each of the color plates by using color image formation. At this point, when forming patch latent images P1 and P2 for forming the patch images (the patch latent images for detecting the deviation amount of the development image of each of the color plates) for each of the color plates on a surface to be scanned of a photoreceptor drum, preset identical light sources a0 are selected as light sources of a surface-emitting laser 1 for starting formation of a first line in a sub-scanning direction of the patch latent images P1 and P2 of each of the color plates. Thereafter, the positional deviation amount is detected of the development image of each of the color plates on the basis of a result obtained by detecting with an optical element the patch image of each of the color plates formed on the transfer belt, and a development image position is adjusted of each of the color plates according to the positional deviation amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
