The invention relates to a transformer station with improved cooling. According to the invention, the transformer station comprises a central body () provided with an internal space () confined by a foundation () partly placed under the ground level, by some side walls () and a roof (), the internal space () containing a transformer body () separated from a switching equipment area () by a dividing wall (), and a ventilation passage which links the internal space () with the external environment, the roof () being provided with an access opening () with a cover () and a grid at least partially covering the ventilation passage and which is separated by a gap () into an inlet grid () and an outlet grid (), the ventilation passage being divided into two air ducts (), namely an air inlet duct and an air outlet duct, respectively, where the air inlet duct () is located between the inlet grid () and the lower part of the switching equipment area (), while the outlet air duct () is located between the outlet grid () and the upper part of the transformer chamber (), an opening () being cut into the dividing wall () in order to permit air circulation. |
