<p>With this display device it is possible to switch between a mode wherein a movable shield plate (5) shields a hole (41) formed in a reflecting plate (4) that reflects the light of backlights (2a), (2b) which provide light from behind a liquid crystal panel (1) that displays an image, and a mode wherein the hole is open. A color sensor (6) that is arranged behind the reflecting plate (4) detects information pertaining to the light from the backlights (2a), (2b) that has passed through the hole (41) formed in the reflecting plate (4). Thus, it is possible to detect information pertaining to the light from the backlights (2a), (2b) from behind the reflecting plate (4) with good precision, and it is possible to improve the appearance from the display-surface side.</p> |
