PURPOSE: A solvent type adhesive composition for polyvinyl chloride pipes is provided to complete all processes in one welding without using a primer and to enhance the adhesive force and workability. CONSTITUTION: A solvent type adhesive composition for polyvinyl chloride pipes comprises 10-25 parts by weight of thermoplastic resin selected from polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated polyvinyl chloride and polystyrene, 0.1-0.5 parts by weight of stearate metal compound selected from zinc stearate, calcium stearate, and magnesium stearate, 38-65 parts by weight of organic solvent in which 20-50 weight% of tetrahydrofuran and 50-80 weight% of cyclohexanone are mixed based on the total weight and 1-3 parts by weight of thixotropic agent based on 100.0 parts by weight of adhesive composition.
