A connector assembly with hand feeling of connection in place and plug thereof. The plug comprises a plug shell (15). An inner connecting nut (21) arranged on the plug shell (15) in an axial spacing way is rotatingly sleeved on the front part of the plug shell (15). An outer connecting cap (20) arranged on the inner connecting nut (21) in a dropping-proof way is slidingly sleeved on the periphery of the inner connecting nut (21) along the axial direction and a driving key (28) extending axially is arranged on the inner circumferential surface of the outer connecting cap (20) along the circumferential direction. A fit key (31), which is occluded and transmitted with the driving key (28) during the process of screwing the inner connecting nut (21) into a socket shell (40), is arranged on the outer circumferential surface of the inner connecting nut (21) along the circumferential direction. An accommodating ring groove (29), which divides the driving key (28) into a front part and a rear part, is arranged on the inner circumferential surface of the outer connecting cap (20). The accommodating ring groove (29) moves forward in the inner connecting nut (21) relative to the outer connecting cap (20), and screws into the socket shell (40) to accommodate the driving key (28). A press step structure (39), which is pressed against the front end part of the outer connecting cap (20) to guarantee that the inner connecting nut (21) moves forward relative to the outer connecting cap (20) before the inner connecting nut (21) is screwed into the socket shell (40), is arranged on the front part of the periphery of the socket shell (40).
