PURPOSE: A street light using solar energy is provided to reduce the consumption of electric energy by covering standby power in the daytime with solar energy. CONSTITUTION: A controller(105) is installed inside a lamp post and controls the on/off of a lamp. A solar panel(106) supplies power used as standby power for the street light. A converter(114) changes AC voltage into DC voltage. A voltage down transformer(115) lowers the 12V DC voltage converted through the converter to 5V. A DC storage unit(120) stores solar energy created by the solar panel for a predetermined time. |
