<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet handling device readily executing taking-out of sheets between jobs from a sheet tray by a simple method. <P>SOLUTION: A stacked length is estimated based on a previous (preceding) job (step S30). A dischargeable length by which a folded sheet can be discharged is calculated (step S32). A discharge length following a current job is estimated (step S34). The dischargeable length is compared with the discharge length following the current job to determine whether the dischargeable length is not shorter than the discharge length following the current job (step S36).
