<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable freely viewing a free broadcast free of charge, in a system in which digital television broadcast cannot be viewed without charge. <P>SOLUTION: A digital TV is connected to a viewing control device. A B-CAS card is set to the viewing control device. When the digital TV is switched on using a remote controller, a charge payment status is detected, and an ECM is transferred from the digital TV to the B-CAS card in the viewing control device. From the B-CAS card, a scramble key is sent to the digital TV. With this scramble key, the scramble of the digital television broadcast is canceled, so that the digital TV broadcast can be received. If the payment of charge is not detected, the ECM is not transferred to the B-CAS card in the viewing control device, and a false scramble key is sent from the B-CAS card to the digital TV, making it unable to receive the digital television broadcast, excluding the reception of the free television broadcast. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
