The invention relates to a method for obtaining hydrogen as an additional fuel, as well as for optimizing the process of combustion of a classic gaseous, liquid, solid fuel, biogas included. According to the invention, the method consists of the reversible reaction of catalytic decomposition and recombination of water into and from its components, leading to hydrogen generation and subsequent combustion in the presence of oxygen, the reaction being initiated and maintained by a spark or a flame produced during fuel combustion, where the temperature required for water decomposition is reached in the fuel combustion process which is carried out under adiabatic conditions, by bringing the air needed for combustion in a saturation state with water vapour and/or wetting the fuel in a ratio that should not affect the water catalytic decomposition temperature, known per se. |
