PURPOSE: A user authentication method using a heterogeneous network is provided to lead a client to a safe access to a server through a portable terminal while the client is connected to the server on the network through a predetermined client first terminal. CONSTITUTION: Connection and predetermined client identifier information is provided to a predetermined server(200). A client first terminal(105) receives a predetermined service from the server. A client second terminal(150) transmits predetermined client authentication information to the server. The server receives the predetermined client identifier information from the client first terminal. The server receives the predetermined client authentication information from the client second terminal. The server authenticates a client who is connected through the client first terminal based on the client authentication information.
