<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To count incident photons with low power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: An image sensor comprises plural pixels. Each of the pixels comprises: a photoelectric conversion part which performs photoelectric conversion; a reference voltage holding capacitor; a differential amplifier in which two respective input nodes receive an output voltage from the photoelectric conversion part and a voltage of the reference voltage holding capacitor and which amplifies and outputs a voltage difference between the two input nodes; a reset circuit which resets the output voltage from the photoelectric conversion part to be a predetermined voltage; and a switch which is provided between the two input nodes of the differential amplifier and turns the voltage of the reference voltage holding capacitor to the output voltage from the photoelectric conversion part by conduction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
