Exemplary embodiments are directed to a method and device for unifying differing designations of physically identical parameters of different field devices of the same type in an automation system. The field devices being parameterized from at least one central control unit via a communication network. A control unit, in each of the different field devices of the same type, identifies the physically identical parameters by semantic analysis of the differing designations, after which, in each case, an identical identification is attached to the differing designations. |
