摘要 The invention relates to a biocompatible alloy of Ti microalloyed with Si, used for osseous implants and to a process for producing the same. According to the invention, the alloy has the following chemical composition: 0.03% N, max 0.10% C, max 0.0125% H, max 0.20% Fe, max 0.18% O, 0.8...1.2% Si and Ti for the remainder. According to the invention, the process consists in forming an electrode by pressing a mixture of Ti sponge and metal Si, melting the same in vacuum in an arc or electron flux installation and obtaining an electrode with the diameter &phgr; = 100 mm, remelting in vacuum and obtaining an electrode having the diameter &phgr; = 140 mm, forging the same up to obtaining a diameter &phgr; = 40 mm, subjecting the same to softening heat treatment at 920°C for one hour with air cooling, peeling the electrode on centreless peeling plants up to a diameter &phgr; = 38 mm, reducing again, by forging, the diameter up to &phgr; = 8 mm followed by another softening heat treatment with the same parameters as the preceding one, semi-hot forging at a temperature ranging from 400...600°C wherein the final electrode diameter reduction from a &phgr; = 8 mm to &phgr; = 5 mm takes place, followed by the final grinding, marking and adjustment matching, the alloy acquiring a breaking strength of 612 N/mmand elongation at break of 18.6%.
