In an electronic supply chain finance system, a method of enabling a supplier to obtain funds includes receiving information from a buyer defining a payment obligation. An offer time is related to a due date for the payment obligation so that, if a financial institution accepts the offer and if instructions are sold to effect payment within a predetermined period of time of the offer time, the instructions effect payment to the supplier by the due date.
