<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer-modified asphalt composition which achieves the production and application of a mixture at a temperature lower than the conventional temperature without lowering the viscosity, and can develop sufficient strength as pavement for heavy traffic. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer-modified asphalt composition contains base asphalt, 2-8 wt.% of a styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer (SBS) having a styrene content in the range of 30-50 wt.% and a 25% toluene solution viscosity in the range of 150-2,000 mPa s, and 1-10 wt.% of a petroleum resin, and may further contain 0.05-5.0 wt.% of an antistripping agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
