<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test piece for measuring lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) which exhibits a reduced error to measured values and is excellent in storage stability. <P>SOLUTION: In the test piece for measuring LDH, the reagent layer 4 contains lithium lactate, a basic buffer, and diaphorase, whereas the reagent layer 5 contains β-NAD, tetrazolium violet, and an acid buffer. The arrangement of β-NAD and a basic buffer in different layers prevents the β-NAD from being denatured in quality and becoming reduced coenzyme (NADH) before use. Moreover, because tetrazolium violet and diaphorase are arranged in different layers, pigments are hardly formed before use.
