<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of suppressing variation in image quality caused by the types of photoreceptors mounted in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus in which a plurality of types of photoreceptors are used. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of screens used in performing screen processing on image data are stored in a screen storage region 132 of an image forming apparatus 1. A parameter selection part of the image forming apparatus 1 selects one of the plurality of screens depending on the drum life value with reference to a drum life value stored in a drum life value storage region 131. A screen processing part performs screen processing on the image data to be processed using the selected screen.
