<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that determines the mounting state of a fixing unit and a fault state of a temperature sensor without preparing a dedicated identification device for identifying them. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device 1 includes: a fixing unit 30 detachable from a body 2 and fixing an unfixed toner image carried on paper P; a temperature sensor 33 for measuring the temperature of a heating roller 31 provided in the fixing unit 30; an outside air temperature sensor 22 for measuring the temperature outside the image forming device 1; an open/close cover 12 to be opened/closed when the fixing unit 30 is attached to or detached from the body 2; an open/close sensor 21 for detecting whether the open/close cover 12 is opened or closed; and a main control part 17 for determining the mounting state of the fixing unit 30 with respect to the body 2 and the fault state of the temperature sensor 33, on the basis of the outputs obtained from the open/close sensor 21, the temperature sensor 33 and the outside air temperature sensor 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
