PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with difficulties in reducing the size of a loop type thermoacoustic system owing to the size of a resonance tube as a component of the system being dependent on the wavelength of a resonance sound wave of the loop type thermoacoustic system which provides a solution to the problem of complexity in a kinematic type device and to the problem of difficulty in designing and adjusting a free piston type device in a conventional stirling system.
SOLUTION: A thermal system is configured which is operated by generating traveling waves in a vibration system of a lumped constant system consisting of a solid oscillator and a spring. This way is different from a way wherein the thermoacoustic system configures a wave motion system as a distributed parameter system with a working fluid. By this, the device can be reduced in size irrespective of the concept of the wavelength.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
