<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a heat transport system functioning in the same way as a heat pump by a new mechanism completely different from the past. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic field forming device 4 applies a magnetic field to the lower portion of a first tubular body. Non-magnetic solid 3 cooled by magnetic fluid 2 is moved from the lower end of the first tubular body 1a to the upper end thereof, and the non-magnetic solid 3 absorbs heat from the outside. Simultaneously, magnetic solid 5 is moved from the right end of a second tubular body 1b to the left end thereof. Since the magnetic fluid 2 at the lower end is heated by a magnetocaloric effect, the magnetic solid 5 is warmed here. Next, the magnetic field forming device 4 eliminates the magnetic field applied to the lower portion of the first tubular body. The magnetic solid 5 warmed by the magnetic fluid 2 is moved to the right end of the second tubular body 1b to release heat to the outside. Simultaneously, the non-magnetic solid 3 absorbing heat from the outside at the upper end of the first tubular body 1b is cooled by being precipitated in the magnetic fluid 2 with temperature lowered by the magnetocaloric effect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
