<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low height transformer which secures sufficient creepage distances between horizontal pin parts of L shaped pins to which a winding wire end part is soldered and electronic components located around the horizontal pin parts when the transformer is mounted on a circuit board and eliminates complicated work to externally attach a pin cover later for securing the creepage distances. <P>SOLUTION: In a low height transformer, a pair of bases 2 is provided at lower ends of both end parts of a cylindrical bobbin 1, and multiple L shaped pins 4 are provided at the both bases so that their horizontal pin parts 4b and vertical pin parts 4a protrude from an outer side surface and a bottom surface of each base 2. End parts 3a of primary side and secondary side wires 3, wound around the cylindrical bobbin 1, are soldered to the horizontal pin parts 4b, and a core 5 is inserted into a center hole of the cylindrical bobbin 1. In the low height transformer, electrically insulative pin covers 6, enclosing the multiple horizontal pin parts 4b, are rotatably attached to the both bases 2.
